Visalia Chamber of Commerce Honors Eagle Mountain Casino as a Large Business Finalist

(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, CA 93257) – The Annual Awards Dinner is a 67-year-old tradition with the Visalia Chamber of Commerce. This year Eagle Mountain Casino had the honor of being represented as a finalist for the “Large Business of the Year” award. 

President and CEO Gale Zurek was the main speaker for the event focusing her dialogue on the success of all the businesses in the community. She spoke about how success is not easy to achieve. It takes the efforts of so many, especially with the world-changing as quickly as it has. Emotions ran strong as each speaker took their turn speaking on behalf of the chamber to celebrate the outstanding achievements being honored. Though not everyone would receive an award, all deserve the praise and recognition the community offers.

During the ceremony, the gavel was passed as former board chairman Matt Ainley relinquished his title and gave recognition to the new chairman Garth Gipson. Gipson thanked all the sponsors, including Eagle Mountain Casino, for their efforts to continue to make events such as this one possible. After which, the finalists and winners were announced. The categories were, Non-Profit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Medium Business of the Year, and finally Large Business of the Year. Eagle Mountain Casino was announced as a finalist for the Large Business of the Year award, and although they did not receive the award, Eagle Mountain Casino gave many congratulations to the American Ambulance of Visalia, for all their hard work in keeping the city safe and providing emergency aid wherever needed.

The ceremony concluded with great thanks to the business community for their generosity and support over the years. The Visalia Chamber also congratulated the 2022 annual award winners and urged them to aspire for positive change for their community.

Currently, Eagle Mountain Casino is located 17 miles east of Porterville and is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. Guests must be 18 years of age to enter. The casino is open 24/7. In addition, the Grizzly Food court is open 24/7, and the River Steakhouse is open Friday – Sunday from 5pm – 10pm. The new casino property is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2022, off Highway 65 in Porterville, CA, next to the Porterville Fair Grounds. The new property will double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a state-of-the-art event center.
