(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, CA 93257) – This year, Eagle Mountain Casino is partnering with The Ralph Bailey show on KERN Radio 1180AM – 96.1 FM to help support Veterans in the Honor Flight Kern County. An Honor Flight is dedicated to transporting veterans to visit the memorial of the respective war they fought at no cost to the veterans. Eagle Mountain Casino has partnered with KERN every year, and this year the casino will continue its donations by donating $5,000 in support of the veterans. The station’s goal is to raise $60,000, and the casino’s donation will make all the difference in their fundraising efforts. Over the past years, Eagle Mountain Casino has donated over $300,000 to Honor Flights including Honor Flight Kern County and Central Valley Honor Flight.
Show host Ralph Bailey asked General Manager Matthew Mingrone about any new updates regarding the grand opening of the people’s casino. Mingrone mentioned several spoilers, including the casino’s tentative opening date, currently scheduled for early December. The one-of-a-kind casino will incorporate key elements of the Tule River Tribes’ culture every step of the way to build something you will not find anywhere else. The relocated people’s casino is located just off Highway 65 near the Porterville airport and the fairgrounds.
The new people’s casino will feature a 2,000-seat event center, 20 tables, and over 1,750 slot machines for the guest to enjoy. Making it the perfect local destination for holidays and weddings. Especially as construction continues to stages two and three with a resort and convention space for even more fun and play, this will fill a hole the community of Porterville has been missing. There is not currently a local venue that can accommodate guests to the capacity this casino will be able to. Also, for the first time in Eagle Mountain Casino’s History, the casino will serve alcohol at the colossal center bar. According to Manager Mingrone, new games will also be introduced like a digital hybrid version of craps and, if all goes in their favor, even sports betting. Mingrone states, “The casino is preparing for any outcome of the November election,” continues, saying, “We want to have as many amenities that we can offer our guests, no matter what it might be.” With all the excitement surrounding the grand opening, everyone is looking forward to seeing the result of all the hard work.
KERN showed much generosity with the donations made by the casino. Mingrone thanked show host Ralph Bailey for the stations’ constant efforts to support the veterans and the Honor Flight Kern County, as well as the veterans who could not participate. In addition, the casino recently released the names of the food and beverage restaurants featured in the grand opening. More details will be released as the construction progresses.
Currently, Eagle Mountain Casino is located 17 miles east of Porterville and is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. Guests must be 18 years of age to enter. The casino is open 24/7. In addition, the Grizzly Food court is open 24/7, and the River Steakhouse is open Friday – Sunday from 5pm – 10pm. Eagle Mountain Casino is a short drive from Bakersfield or Visalia.
The new casino property is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2022, off Highway 65 in Porterville, CA, next to the Porterville Fair Grounds. The new property will double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a state-of-the-art event center.
