Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino an Economic Engine for Tulare County

(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, Ca 93257) – The Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino were the Presenting Sponsor of the Sequoia Regional Economic Summit on February 18 at the Visalia Convention Center, an event produced by the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation.

Matthew Mingrone, General Manager of Eagle Mountain Casino, was a featured speaker at the event and highlighted the economic contributions that the Tule River Tribe provided to Tulare County over the past 25 years.

“Over the past 25 years, the Tule River Tribe employed over 1100 people and have been an economic engine for not just the tribe, but for Tulare County”, said Mingrone.

Eagle Mountain Casino employees are provided the opportunity for generous wages and a highly subsidized benefits package that allows team members to support area businesses as over 90% of all employees live in Tulare County.

“A major part of that economic development has to do with other businesses that the Tule River Tribe has, including real estate development, convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, and of course, Eagle Mountain Casino, and that has been going on for 25 years”, said Mingrone.

The Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino are now looking forward to the next 25 years.

In the Fall of 2022, the Tule River Tribe will be opening a brand-new property, relocating the current Eagle Mountain Casino closer to the Porterville Fairgrounds and Airport, featuring four food outlets, a 2000 seat event, and a state-of-the-art entertainment destination for all of the South Valley, with design aspects that incorporate the culture of the Tule River Tribe.
